Way to happiness

Way to happiness

We are born a small child, we grow to be adult, live for a while and then   ultimately die. Where did we come from and where did we go after death? Did everything finished with our death? It can be explained as a process of biological evolution but the matter does not end there.  There are a huge number of creatures-animals, plants and human beings moving in this life circle all at a time. But then, this is about the earth alone. What about other planets and stars? Our physical eyes have limitations. It cannot see many things which otherwise exist. For example, it cannot see ultra violet rays. But these do exist.

What about millions of galaxies, black holes which are spread over the universe? Some of them can be seen even with the naked eyes with the help of special telescopes. How did they come into existence and how are they existing? How long will they exist? Will the entire universe collapse one day? If yes, what will be the shape of things to come thereafter? These are all mysteries quite difficult to explain.

We do not get everything of our choice in this long journey of life. Many a time we have to accept things which we would never have done otherwise. If we have to exist, the only remedy is to remain flexible with the developments of life which are not always as per our liking. Many unexpected things happen. Sometimes, we feel lost. But there is   a natural process of reconstruction which infuses fresh doze of enthusiasm in us. We get up again and start making fresh efforts.

We do not have any choice either with regard to place or time of our birth. It is just a chance that someone is born in a rich family and enjoys comfortable life from   the day one. On the other hand, many children are not so lucky. They are  born poor. They lack basic amenities. How are we going to define this huge difference in status of the new born child?

Every moment of life right from the childhood is full of   struggles. We are born a small child. We are dependent on our parents and relatives for everything. The child can simply cry and can not do anything to fulfill his requirements. His parents keep on helping him and meeting his day to day requirements out of love and compassion.

People come to this world and achieve according to their efforts and aspirations. But only a few of them get satisfaction from what they have already achieved. This situation may lead to success and better achievements in life but it causes frustration and disappointments in a number of cases. Some of them suffer from depression and even commit suicide   , if they fail to achieve their target. How to get out of this? In this context, the message of the Gita could be of great help. We should work   and keep on working without caring about the fruit of the action done. That ultimately leads to peace of mind.

Everybody cannot be Ambassador, Minister or member of Parliament. It is also not possible for everybody to become poet, singer or artist. But life even without such distinctions can be equally or more meaningful. Even a small man can do a lot of good to the society at large. What is required is not lot of wealth or very high education, rather   it requires a positive and helping attitude   which can bring about constructive change in the lives of millions of suffering people . We do not need much to survive or lead a simple and dignified life. We just need both times meal, a small house to live in and few clothes to wear. Rest of things are accumulated by us just   out of our egocentric demands. There is no end   to this. Even if the entire world is acquired, even then such persons will not be satisfied. We, therefore, need to do lot of self- introspection and try to reason out from within. This alone can bring about change in our attitude.

Sitting idle or making no effort at all is no solution. There is always hope in life. We should not allow despondency to take over our feelings. We can find ourselves in a messy situation for a while but such things do not ever last. If we keep on doing, and do not stop midway, we are bound to succeed. When we have come to this world, we have to perform our duties. But we should not get attached to the results of duties so performed. lesser we are attached to the result of work done better we are at performance. In that situation, we concentrate on our duty and stop frittering away our energy in negative instincts like worry, hatred, or envy.

It is often seen that we get tired and think of quitting when very close to success. If we quit at this stage, we get nothing. But if we continue our efforts and proceed further, we achieve our target. The struggle close to success is very pointed and often tough. But people with patience and perseverance, continue with their efforts despite initial failures and hardships   and become victorious ultimately.

Life is a continuous process of growth. We keep on progressing through positive thinking and continuous efforts against odds and evens of life. Thus the man keeps on progressing until one day his journey of life is brought to an abrupt end   by death .Every creatures on the earth has to pass through this circle.

In this long journey of life, it   is immaterial who achieved what. Everybody has his own destiny. Therefore, we should not compare ourselves with others rather concentrate upon our own efforts. That alone can bring excellence in our life.

Negativities should not have any place in our life. We must be positive and respect the feelings of others. Instead of spoiling our energy in negative instincts like envy, anger, and revenge, we should pull out our entire energy in positive direction. We shall see miracles happening in no time. In fact, life is nothing but reflections of our own thoughts. If we stay positive, and welcome others prospering, we are sure to rise.

We can feel happy and satisfied if we integrate ourselves with aspirations of others. We have to learn to live in harmony with our neighbours. We should be   careful about   feelings of others and should use our words very meticulously. If we start celebrating   the achievements of others, there will be no end to happiness in our lives. We shall really be victorious because the whole universe will become our friend and we shall have no trace of negativities in our attitude.

Everything good or bad has to come to an end. What is required is patience. If we remain calm and do not get upset with ups and downs of life, we are bound to get out of all troubles that come in the way of success. If we win, the public opinion changes within minutes. So, we should not worry about what others feel about us. It is their problem. We should do our duty   with full force and complete dedication and leave things to God. That alone can bring about lasting peace in our lives.

Life is an opportunity

Life is an opportunity   Millions of people have come and gone but nobody remembers them. Only a few persons like Vyas, Shankarachary,Vi...
